Meet Christine

Christine Boyle is an organizer, a community builder, and a life-long New Democrat who works with those around her to make our communities stronger.

Christine was born at Grace hospital on Oak St, has lived on these unceded territories nearly all her life - and feels profoundly lucky that her family, her husband Seth and their two children, get to call this place home. She has spent her life working to be part of the solution to the challenges we face, from front-line support work in the Downtown Eastside to bringing communities together to take real action to confront the climate crisis.

But in all this work, it became clear: to make real progress, collaborative, courageous leaders needed to step up and run for public office and take action on the big challenges people are facing.

In 2018, Christine was elected as a City Councillor. In a fractured Council, she worked with councilors from different parties, with different perspectives, to drive real progressive change on issues big and small.

Through this work, Christine learned that she was only able to succeed by bringing people together. She built consensus and found common ground between parties, and between members of the community, to turn progressive values into real action.

But she knows there is so much more that needs to be done.

Our local communities face global challenges. And on the issues that are top of mind in our community, from affordable housing, to childcare, to safe streets and communities, the BC NDP has been leading the way.

Christine sits infront of a brightly painted mural on a bench talking to another woman.

That is why Christine is seeking the BC NDP nomination in Vancouver-Little Mountain: to bring people together and create even bigger change for the people of this city, and this province.

To ensure that no one is priced out or pushed out or left behind - and to be part of a team that's building a cleaner, healthier, more affordable B.C.

There is important work ahead. And she’s ready to get to work for you.
